When it comes to e-bikes, you won't often find the words "stylish" and "fun" in their descriptions—that is until the Turbo Como 5.0 with 650b wheels and a Low-Entry design burst onto the scene. With a comfortable geometry, a modern look, nimble 650b wheels with cushy 2.3" tires, and an additional boost from the fully integrated motor, this Turbo Como brings more fun to your bike ride than you ever could have imagined.
Beginning with the integrated Specialized 1.3 motor, it has a higher max torque (90 Nm!), max watts, and better heat management and efficiency than its predecessors. It's the most advanced motor ever found on an urban e-bike. Of course, it still features a silent operating design with our Custom Rx Street Tune that takes the output and makes it the most usable for an urban environment. Think of it this way: The more power you put out, the more power the motor puts out, and this makes accelerations from a standstill both quick and efficient. The belt driven motor is also smooth, silent, and free of annoying vibrations. And the max speed? 28mph.
For the Como 5.0, we developed a custom 604 Wh battery that seamlessly integrates into the frame, is lockable, and easily removable for simplified charging.
For this model, we included a low-entry design with our Ground Control Geometry that makes it easy to put a foot down at a stop sign, while also eliminating the struggle of getting on and off the bike. The agile 650b wheels, meanwhile, have also been paired with cushy 2.3-inch tires, so they can roll over most cracks, bumps, and holes with ease to ensure that nothing stands in your way on your path to a good time. And to top off all of these innovative features, we chose a high-end spec that includes Shimano XT/SLX 11-speed components, four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, front/rear lights, racks, and fenders.

Since 1974, we’ve had one goal: Innovate and inspire to improve riders’ lives. So, when we developed our first electric bike in 2009, we knew it had to ride and feel like a great bike first—something we’d really love to ride ourselves. We wanted you to feel like you were on a “regular” bike, but that somehow, you’d grown superhero legs. Our core mission still hasn’t changed. It’s now, and forever will be, our promise for every Turbo: It’s You, Only Faster.
Taking a motor and battery off the shelf would be easy, but we never compromise by just doing the “easy” thing. Instead, we develop our tech in e-Bike-obsessed Cham, Switzerland, and we tune the ride at our Morgan Hill, California headquarters. We carve our own path to deliver electric bikes that ride like they’re truly you, only faster.
Bicycles and products are generally shipped via FedEx and tracking information will be provided to you once en route. Shipping time typically takes from 6–10 business days. Bikes will be shipped 80-90% assembled and we encourage customers to have a professional bicycle mechanic complete final assembly and tuning for performance and safety reasons. We offer a $50 reimbursement for this provided the customer gives proof of service. At that time, we will send a check for reimbursement and activate the manufacturer’s warranty.
We encourage local customers to pick up fully assembled and tuned bikes (free of charge) or inquire about our local delivery options. Note that we do not ship Specialized electric bikes or Globe electric bikes.
Our policy lasts 10 days and a 12% restocking fee will be assessed. If 10 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. For bikes, they must have less than 3 miles on the odometer. It must also be in the original packaging with manuals and accessories. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted; Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error; Any item that is returned more than 10 days after delivery. There are no returns or refunds offered for already applied labor or special order items.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. There will be a twelve percent restocking fee. As mentioned above, we do not offer returns or refunds for labor or special order items.
