Electric Bike Central was hired to build custom electric trikes for the San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s tours that debuted this July. The new tour allows park adventurers to learn about and get close to the animals roaming the African Plains and the Asian Savanna while cruising in comfort with electric assist.
The Trike Project
14 taylor-made adult tricycles with E-RAD mid-drive 750 watt motors on a 48 volt system with custom software programming and safety upgrades. This trike configuration won out over three other proposed builds and was the best of our three prototypes.
